Terms of Use for BookConnect

Welcome to BookConnect, a social network app connecting book lovers around the world. By accessing or using the BookConnect app (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

• Acceptance of Terms By using the App, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, including any updates or modifications. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of BookConnect (referred to as "we," "us," or "our").

• Account Registration To use the App, you will be required to create a user account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breaches.

• User Content a. Posting Content: BookConnect allows you to post, share, and interact with various forms of content, such as text and images. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you hold in the content you post. b. Content Ownership: By posting content on the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, modify, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and perform the content in connection with the operation and promotion of the App. c. Content Standards: You are solely responsible for the content you post on the App. You agree not to post any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove or disable any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate, at our sole discretion. d. Removal of Content: We reserve the right to delete or remove any content posted by users on the App, without prior notice and at our discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, content that violates these Terms or infringes upon the rights of others.

• Intellectual Property Rights a. Ownership: All intellectual property rights in the App and its content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by or licensed to us. You acknowledge that the App and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. b. Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App or its content, unless expressly authorized by us in writing.

• Prohibited Conduct You agree not to engage in any of the following activities: a. Violating any applicable laws or regulations. b. Impersonating any person or entity or falsely representing your affiliation with any person or entity. c. Using the App to transmit or distribute any viruses, malware, or other harmful computer code. d. Interfering with or disrupting the operation of the App or its servers. e. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, user accounts, or computer systems connected to the App. f. Engaging in any conduct that, in our sole discretion, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the App.

• Termination
  We may, at our sole discretion, suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to the App, including your user account, without prior notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including if we believe that you have violated these Terms or engaged in any prohibited conduct. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you will immediately cease, and you must cease all use of the App.

• Disclaimer of Warranties The App and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or suitability of the App or its content. You use the App at your own risk. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

• Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any other person or entity.

• Amendments We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. The updated Terms will be effective upon posting on the App. Your continued use of the App after the posting of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

• Compliance with Laws and Jurisdiction:
  By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction and any jurisdiction from which you access or use the App. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the App is in compliance with the laws, rules, and regulations of your respective country or region.

• Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

• Entire Agreement These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the App, superseding any prior agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.
